The rules for using the bot, running a community and treating other players fairly.
Last updated:
1. Your agreement with us
These terms govern Clout, its hosted Discord bot and its pages on guildcircuit.com. The service is provided by GuildCircuit (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@guildcircuit.com.
By installing the bot or using its features after these terms are made available, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service and remove the bot from servers you control. Server administrators must make these terms and our Privacy Policy available to participants; installing the bot does not allow an administrator to waive another person’s rights.
This agreement is between you and GuildCircuit’s operator; Discord is not a party and has no obligations under it. GuildCircuit is independent of Discord and of the owners of games or brands referenced by community boards. Their services have their own terms. These terms do not override Discord’s applicable terms and policies; if they conflict, Discord’s requirements take precedence for use of its platform. You must also follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. Who can use the service
You must be at least 13 and meet Discord’s higher minimum age where applicable in your country. If you are below the age at which you can enter this agreement yourself, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms as required by local law. You must have permission to add or configure the bot in a server and use an account you are authorised to control. Agreement to these terms does not replace permission needed for a particular action or authorise unsolicited contact.
3. What the service provides
Clout provides community predictions and a virtual points economy, including balances, daily rewards, gifts, rankings and other features where enabled. Pools use the selected outcome and recorded stakes to calculate point awards. Displayed odds and website examples are illustrative and are not promises of a result, profit or payout.
Points have no monetary value. They are not money, cryptocurrency, an investment or a redeemable asset. We do not provide cash deposits, cash withdrawals or cash prizes through these features. You must not buy or sell points, exchange them for money or anything of real-world value, or use the bot to operate real-money betting, wagering or paid-entry prize schemes. In-bot transfers of virtual points through supported commands are permitted.
Balances, streaks and results can change through ordinary game rules, moderator actions and proportionate corrections of errors or abuse. They do not create a right to payment. A virtual-point “refund” means restoring points, not returning money.
If you request deletion, your remaining points and account history are removed. Your stakes in open or closed but unsettled predictions are withdrawn from those pools, which changes their totals and future odds. Other participants retain their stakes; already-settled payouts are not recalculated. Your giveaway participation is removed. Deletion is not a transfer of points to another account.
4. Server administration and disputes
Server owners and authorised moderators are responsible for their settings, permissions, published event rules and actions. Explain rules before participation, apply them fairly and respect users’ privacy. Do not present your server as speaking for GuildCircuit.
Prediction creators must write clear outcomes and closing conditions. Authorised settlers and moderators must resolve outcomes honestly and must not manipulate a pool for personal advantage. Ask server moderators first about a disputed settlement; report suspected abuse or a software error to us with the prediction ID and relevant details.
Local server rules can supplement these terms but cannot override them, Discord’s rules or applicable law. We can investigate misuse of our service and correct software-related records, but do not promise to adjudicate every community disagreement.
5. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and respect other people. You must not:
Harass, threaten, discriminate against or exploit someone; disclose private information without authority; or submit unlawful or infringing material.
Send malware or stolen credentials, circumvent permissions or safety controls, impersonate someone, or access another person’s private records.
Spam commands, evade rate limits or bans, disrupt the service, or exploit defects to manipulate results or obtain an unfair advantage.
Collect or reuse other people’s information for unrelated surveillance, advertising or other unauthorised purposes.
Use the bot to solicit passwords, account tokens, identity documents, health or financial information, or other sensitive personal information.
Use the bot for unsolicited messages or marketing, artificial server activity or membership inflation, or bypassing someone’s decision to block or remove it.
Submit adult sexual content, exploitative content or other material unsuitable for users under 18, or use challenges to organise dangerous activities or harassment.
Report vulnerabilities privately to support@guildcircuit.com. Include enough detail for investigation without exposing other users’ data or continuing to exploit the issue.
6. Your content and our materials
You retain ownership of content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure and support the service, including sending it to Discord and the intended participants or reviewers. This is not permission to sell your content or use it for unrelated advertising.
That permission ends when the content is removed from our service, except for limited retention justified in the Privacy Policy or required by law. Other people may already have seen or independently copied content you shared.
We and the relevant rights holders retain ownership of the website, branding and other service materials. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. Separate open-source licences, where applicable, continue to govern the code they cover.
7. Access and future paid features
The current public website does not sell a subscription or take payments. Draft pricing or planned features shown on it are not an offer of paid access or a promise that a feature will launch. If we introduce paid features, we will provide the price, billing period, cancellation and refund information and any additional terms before purchase, consistent with applicable law, Discord’s Monetization Terms, Monetization Policy and Developer Policy. Paid features will be offered only where Discord permits the feature and monetization model. Where Discord’s Premium Apps requirements apply to a paid feature, we will offer it through Premium Apps at a price no higher than through our other payment options. These terms do not authorise a charge.
8. Changes, availability and termination
The service is under active development. We take reasonable care in operating it, but availability depends on our infrastructure and Discord. Maintenance, bugs or platform changes can interrupt play or require correction of game records. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage of progress or delivery of announced features.
We may change or retire features, with reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable. We may restrict access, remove content or suspend use where reasonably necessary to address a breach, protect users, comply with law or respond to a security issue. We will explain the reason where it is safe and lawful and consider a review request sent to support@guildcircuit.com.
You may stop using the bot at any time, and server administrators may remove it. Stopping use or removing the bot does not automatically erase stored records; use the request process in the Privacy Policy. Obligations relating to earlier misuse, lawful retention and accrued legal rights continue where relevant after access ends.
9. Responsibility and your legal rights
We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for independent actions of server members or third-party services except to the extent our own breach or applicable law makes us responsible. Game results and virtual points do not have a cash redemption value.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing removes mandatory consumer rights, data protection rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
10. Questions, complaints and changes to these terms
Contact support@guildcircuit.com with the bot name, relevant server or game identifier and a description of the issue. Use this address to report abuse, unsafe challenges, privacy concerns, security issues, or suspected violations of these terms or Discord’s rules. We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include restricting features, removing bot-controlled content, suspending access or escalating to Discord. A server moderator’s decision does not prevent you from reporting a concern directly to us. Please send only the information needed to investigate; do not forward sensitive evidence unnecessarily. This contact process does not prevent you from using courts, a regulator or other remedies available under applicable law, and these terms do not require private arbitration or waive collective rights.
We will date revised terms and take reasonable steps to notify users of material changes on the website or through the bot before they take effect, unless an urgent legal or security change is necessary. Changes will not remove rights already accrued. If a change requires your agreement under applicable law, we will obtain it. If you disagree with a change, stop using the service.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue as far as the law allows. Contact GuildCircuit at support@guildcircuit.com for questions about this agreement.
